AllDay provides a seamless, powerful order management dashboard - that being said, not every feature included is relevant to on-location teams. Imagine handing your kitchen staff a laptop and asking them to navigate your entire AllDay account just to accept orders or mark them as complete!
Application Features List
Since the most important part of online ordering is, well, handling online orders, the AllDay iPad application focuses entirely on order management. Here is a complete feature list:
Setting up the Application
Setting up the AllDay iPad application is straightforward and can be completed in just a few minutes. All that is required is your AllDay login credentials!
Step 1 - Download the Application
You can download the AllDay iPad application from the Apple App store here
Step 2- Log in
Make sure that you have your AllDay login credentials available as these are required in order for the application to connect with your AllDay Ordering account.
Please Note: If you have 2FA set up, you will also be required to enter a 2FA code
Step 3- Set up Your Tablet
This allows you to name your tablet - this comes in handy if you plan on using multiple tablets in different locations within your restaurant. We recommend naming the tablet using identifying information such as the individual or team that will be using it, where the iPad will be located, etc.
If you have multiple restaurant locations, you will also be asked which location the iPad will be associated with:
That's it! Let's move on to using the iPad application for your restaurant.
Using the Application
Once you have set up the application on your iPad, you can begin using it right away.
The Order Screen
The Order screen is where all orders can be viewed, processed and marked as completed.
Using the options located at the bottom of the screen, you can decide what orders should be viewable on the screen:
New Orders - orders that have been submitted but have not yet been Accepted
In Progress - orders that have been accepted and are being prepared
Out for Delivery - orders that have been marked as 'Out for Delivery'
Completed - orders that have been marked as 'Completed'
All Orders - all orders, regardless of status
Scheduled Orders - orders that have been scheduled by customers. These orders will be moved into 'New Orders' when it is time to begin preparing them.
Order Screens include the following information:
Order Status
Customer Name
Tip
Total
Delivery or Pickup
Time Left (this depends on the amount of preparation time entered when accepting the order)
Settings
The Settings menu of the application can be accessed by pressing the Gear icon located in the upper right hand corner of your screen:
The Settings menu includes the following options:
These options can be used to update Available menu items, adjust notification settings, send test orders and more. If there is an issue with the application on your device, you can also access identifying information here that will help our support team troubleshoot.
Accepting Orders
As soon as an order is received it will display on both the 'New Orders' and 'All Orders' List:
Once the order is displayed, it can be reviewed by pressing anywhere on the Order row. In this view, you can see all order details, including Customer information, the items ordered, quantities, additional details and notes, as well as the order tip and total:
If the order is a Delivery order, you will notice additional information, including Delivery distance, approximate driving time, as well as an option to view the delivery address on a map:
When you are ready to begin preparing the order you can press the 'Accept Order' button.
At this point you will be prompted to enter an approximate preparation time for the order - this will in turn notify the customer that their order is being prepared, as well as approximately how long it will take to complete.
Please Note: If an order has not been accepted after a few minutes, the iPad application will display the number of open orders there are, as well as play a sound - the ensures that no orders go unnoticed!
Preparing Orders
Once an order has been accepted, it will be moved to the 'In Progress' section of the Orders Screen (and will no longer be visible in the 'New Orders' section). This section includes 'Time Left' in the main view, displaying the amount of time left to complete the order (based on the approximate prep time entered when accepting the order):
Pressing on the order row, the order details screen will show again, but with a 'Complete' button at the bottom of the order (if the order is a delivery order, this button will say 'Send out for Delivery'):
Once the order preparation is complete, you may press the 'Complete' button. At this point, the order will be moved to the 'Completed' section of the Orders screen.
For Delivery Orders:
If the order is ready to be delivered, you may press the 'Send out for Delivery' button. At this point, the order will be moved to the 'Out for Delivery' section of the Orders screen.
Once the order has been received by the customer, you can mark the order as
'Complete' - this will move the order to the 'Completed section of the Orders screen.
For Scheduled Orders
When an order is placed as a Scheduled order, it will display in the 'Scheduled' section of the Orders Screen. No action needs to be taken for Scheduled orders - once it is time to prepare a Scheduled order, it will be moved into the 'New Orders' section of the screen and can be treated like any other order.
