Allday Menus are just like menus you provide to customers in your restaurant - they consist of menu items that customers can order during certain times.

Step-By-Step Guide

Step 1: Visit the Menus Page

Visit the 'Menus' page in your Allday restaurant portal:

Step 2: Create a New Menu

On the 'Menus' page, create a new Menu by pressing the ' + New menu' OR the '+ Create new menu' button:

Step 3: Name your Menu & Add Basic Details

Give your Menu a name (ex. 'Dinner') and provide a description (ex. Appetizers, Mains & Desserts available from 4pm until 10pm).

You will see an additional option that allows for restricting the Menu based on Location:

This option is set to 'All Locations' by default, making the Menu available at all Locations. If you would like to restrict the Menu to a single Location (only applicable for restaurants with multi-location enabled), simply press the 'Restricted Locations' option and select the Location that should display the Menu:

Note: If you don't want this Menu to be made available on your website, you can also set the Active setting toggle to 'No'. You can always change this setting to 'Yes' when you'd like the Menu to be made available.

Step 4: Manage Menu Details

Select the 'Manage' option to the right of your Menu. This will bring up all settings for the Menu:

Step 5: Create Categories

Begin building your Menu by creating 'Categories'. Categories are used to break up your Menu Items, and you can create as many as you'd like. Create your first Category by pressing the 'Add category' button:

Give your Category a name (ex. 'Appetizers') and provide a description (ex. 'Small plates perfect for sharing.'):

Step 6: Create Choices

Create Choices that can be added to Menu Items by pressing the 'Choices' option and then pressing the 'Add choice' button:

Choices are mandatory selections that are related to specific Items such as dressing type for a salad or cooking preferences (medium, well done etc.) for a hamburger.

Finish creating a Choice by providing:

  • the Choice name (ex. type of dressing)

  • selections available (ex. Italian dressing, Ranch dressing, Thousand Island dressing)

  • how many selections the customer is able to choose.

Note: Different Choice selections can have different prices, or can be offered free of charge

Step 7: Create Add-ons

Create Add-ons that can be added to Menu Items by pressing the 'Add-ons' option and then pressing the 'Add add-on' button:

Add-ons are optional extras, such as extra toppings (ex. bacon, extra cheese) or special ingredients (ex. avocado).

Finish creating an Add-on by providing:

  • the Add-on name

  • a brief description

  • the Add-on price

Step 8: Create Items

Once you're done creating Categories, you can begin creating Items. You can do so by pressing the 'Items' option and then pressing the 'Create item' button.

Create an Item by provide the Item name, description, size and price. You can also provide optional information, such as an image, related Choices or Add-ons.

Sizes

If the Item only comes in one size, we recommend adding a size (by pressing the 'Add size button') and naming it 'Regular'. If the Item has multiple sizes, you can add each by pressing the 'Add size' button in the 'Sizes' section.

Note: You can assign different prices to different sizes

Additional Item Options

  • Image

You can add an image in this section by pressing the 'Upload product thumbnail' area. For best results we recommend high-resolution images that are square (1:1) or rectangular (1:2).

  • Choices

Select one or more Choices that apply to this Item.

  • Add-Ons

Select one or more Add-ons that apply to this Item.

Note: To learn more about Choices, Add-Ons and Sizes, read this article

Step 9: Add Menu Business Hours

When your Menu is ready, you can add Menu Business Hours by pressing the 'Menu Business Hours' option.

Menu Business Hours are the hours that the Menu is available for customers to order from.

Note: If the Menu Business Hours are not added, the Menu will be made available during all regular restaurant Business Hours

You can add hour ranges for each day of the week by selecting the specific day and adding menu 'Open Times' and 'Close Times':

Once the above steps have been completed your Menu is ready to go! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰
