Now that your online ordering page is live, it’s time to make it work for you — bringing in new customers, generating repeat orders, and increasing your bottom line. Whether you’re a café, food truck, restaurant, or ghost kitchen, the key to success is visibility and ease of use.

Here are five easy ways to drive more traffic to your ordering page and grow your profits starting today:

1. Share Your Online Ordering Link on Yelp and Google My Business

While you might have a great website, chances are hungry customers will most likely first find your menu via other sources. Two of the most popular sources for finding restaurants and menus are Yelp and Google My Business.

For Yelp:

Set up / update the Yelp page for your restaurant and add a link to your online ordering page.

Already have an account?

You can do this by logging in to your Yelp business account here and following these steps:

  • Navigate to Business Information: Once logged in, go to the "Business Information" section, which can be found in the menu on the left (on desktop) or in the bottom navigation bar (on the app).

  • Edit the relevant section: Click on the "Edit" button next to either the "Basic Information" section, or locate the section labeled "Website Address" or "Menu Website Address".

  • Input the updated link: In the appropriate text field, paste the correct online ordering link for your business. This will be the URL of the page on your website that you have installed Allday on

  • Save changes: Click on "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page to confirm the update.

  • Yelp review: Yelp will review the changes to ensure accuracy, which may take some time.

Pro Tip: When linking your website to your Yelp and Google business profiles, make sure you are using the direct link to your online ordering menu page. Also ensure that your business profile is detailed and includes high quality photos!

2. Update your followers (and potential customers) on Instagram and Facebook

Social media isn’t just for mouthwatering food photos — it’s a direct line to your customers.

What to do:

  • Add your ordering link to your Instagram bio and Facebook profile.

  • Create posts or stories like “Order Now,” “Your Favorite Dish is Just a Click Away,” or “Hungry? We’ve Got You.”

  • Use stickers or call-to-actions in Instagram Stories like “Order Here” or “Tap to Eat”.

Pro Tip: Pin a post on Facebook or a story highlight on Instagram with your ordering info.

3. Announce Ordering Availability via Email or Stories

Your loyal fans want to know when they can order from you online — so tell them directly!

What to do:

  • Send a quick email to your list: “We’re Now Taking Online Orders – Click to Get Your Favorite Dishes Delivered or Ready for Pickup!”

  • Use Instagram or Facebook Stories to showcase the ordering process. A quick behind-the-scenes video goes a long way.

Pro Tip: Offer a limited-time promo like 10% off your first online order to build momentum, then create a coupon to share via the Allday Coupons page

4. Use QR Codes and Links on all Print Materials

Don’t underestimate the power of physical touchpoints – especially when they lead directly to your online store.

What to do:

  • Print QR codes that link to your ordering page and place them on:

  • Tables or counters

  • Takeout menus

  • Delivery packaging (or drop cards for 3rd party services like Doordash or Uber Eats)

  • Posters or window signage

  • Include short links (like yourrestaurant.com/order) on receipts or flyers.

Goal: Make it impossible to miss how easy it is to order!

5. Enable SMS Alerts to Stay Responsive

Fast, responsive service keeps customers coming back — and SMS notifications help you deliver just that.

What to do:

• Turn on real-time SMS alerts in your Allday dashboard so your team is notified the moment an order comes in.

• No missed orders. No delays. Just smooth, efficient service that builds trust and repeat business.

Result: Faster fulfillment = happier customers = more orders over time.

Remember...

Getting your store live is just the beginning — now it’s about making it visible, engaging, and effortless for customers to order. With just a few tweaks and promotions, your online ordering can become a major revenue channel for your restaurant.
